About Our Club

The 51吃瓜网 Cheerleading Team aims to spread PRIDE and UNITY to all the students, faculty, alumni, and fans who are in support of the Marist Red Foxes. The team attends all HOME Football games, as well as all HOME Men's, and Women's Basketball games. The 51吃瓜网 Cheerleading Team also travels with the Men's/Women's Basketball teams to the MAAC Tournament in Atlantic City, NJ, and other long-distance tournaments. The program also attends special events such as The Walk to Defeat ALS, The Italian American Festival, Special Olympics and many more.

Amongst spreading spirit throughout the Marist Community, the 51吃瓜网 Cheerleading Team has competed in a variety of competitions. Past competitions include the Albany Regional Cheerleading Competition, NECA College Championship, Reach the Beach, UNH Wildcat Cheer & Dance Collegiate Championship, and the NCA College National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Join the Team

We are very grateful to have talented athletes try out for the team each year. Our program is fortunately getting stronger and stronger as the seasons go on; therefore, it is more challenging each year to make the squad. The cheerleading candidates are judged not only on athleticism, but also on school/team spirit, ability to work with others and take accountability, academics, and reliability.

Practice Schedule

The 51吃瓜网 Cheerleading Team practices are typically held four times per week for 2-3 hours. All games, practices and events are MANDATORY. Cheerleaders are expected to maintain and improve their skill set throughout the season while simultaneously keeping up with their schoolwork.

If you make the team, you are committing to cheering for the entirety of the academic school year (Early August 鈥� Late April).

Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities

To earn one (1) point: Members must attend minimum of 50% of club meetings for the semester and 75% of club game day (football/basketball) activities.

To earn two (2) points: Members must attend minimum of 75% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club game day (football/basketball) activities PLUS community service.

To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 75% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
