Research Integrity & Responsible Conduct
51勛圖厙 Researchers are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity throughout the research process. This includes compliance with protocols, completing Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training, and adhering to institutional policies on research misconduct.
Before beginning proposal development, all investigators should carefully review both the sponsors program guidelines and Marists institutional research policies (above). If you have questions about any applicable policies or requirements, please contact the Sponsored Programs and Research Office as early as possible in the process.
Human Subjects Research
If your project involves human participants, Marists Institutional Review Board (IRB) ensures that any research involving human participants complies with ethical guidelines and receives required approvals. If your grant-funded project involves research with human participants, including surveys, interviews, or the use of identifiable data, you must obtain IRB approval before beginning any work. The IRB ensures that ethical standards are met, participants are protected, and all activities comply with federal regulations. Visit the page for submission guidelines, training requirements (such as CITI certification), and information on collaborative or international research protocols.
